Father of 6. Husband. Adventurer. Creative guy.

Grew up on the mellow beaches of Southern California.

Born in California. Raised my kids in Colorado. Now, enjoying the outside-side of Utah with my family.

BFA Graphic Design and Advertising from the ArtCenter College of Design.

20 years ideating, creating, crafting, and disrupting culture for known brands nationally and globally. Learned the ropes in ad agencies. Built a creative agency. And now running a large, integrated creative marketing team at ZAGG.

Made great creative content, led millions down the awareness to purchase funnel, and won some creative awards, even a “corporate” Executive Choice Award.

What I Do

I’m a leader, creative, brand strategist, storyteller, and mentor. I have extensive experience in creative concept development and building brand desire that accelerates business growth. I’ve proven to be well-accomplished in building and leading large integrated creative teams that consistently deliver.

I’m presently creating compelling brand and product story-driven assets across all platforms. Building and managing integrated creative teams (writing, photography, video, design, production, 3D Design, animation, creative operations). Specializing in consumer electronics, lifestyle, and outdoor brands.

What I Believe

Start by being a good person.

Be a Servant Leader, it works every where and every time. Lead down, across, and up.

matrix-ed only results that matter are the business results. The only way to achieve great business results is through great, strategic creative.

Think big from the start. And not a checklist of creative task, but strategic consumer touch-points that you can turn into creative tasks.

Don't show polished creative up-front, but share original ideas that you can turn into memorable creative.

Listen to the client. Listen to the consumer. Listen to culture. Then inspire them with solutions they couldn’t imagine. Enable then to live their ideal life.

Strategy is critical. Strategy is uniting marketing, brand, and creativity.

Be an artist. Art elicits an emotional reaction through creative execution.

If my wife doesn’t get it, or my kids don’t think it’s cool, it’s probably not a good idea.

Live life. Escape the cubicle and discover new ideas by actively seeking new experiences.

 
 

Creative Know-how

As a Creative Director I provide the passion, vision, and leadership behind brand and creative marketing.

I’ve led and directed multidisciplinary teams of up to 40 plus discipline specific creatives at one time. My teams consisted of brand strategists, project managers, traffic managers, creative directors, art directors, designers, digital designers, production artists, copywriters, producers, video teams, photographers, photo editors, animators, motion graphic artists, 3D render designers, and social media managers.

I’ve integrated diverse creative teams to amplify curiosity, creativity, and strategic thinking to increase brand desire, brand equity, and revenue growth. My strategic creative approach helps to insulate brands against competitive threats and drive consumers from awareness to purchase within the marketing funnel.
